As the days grow darker and colder, it’s the last flashes of colour that catch my eye in the garden, the rose hips clinging on long after the flowers have gone, glowing red against the bare stems. This rose leaf crochet pattern (with rose hip sprig) is my nod to that, pairing a pair of veined…
Hedgehogs snuffling through the fallen autumn leaves are the cutest sight, and this crochet hedgehog appliqué pattern (free) is pretty cute too! With its sweet bobble stitch spines, this crochet version is not going to prickle you. It’s one of the appliqué motifs in my Autumn Landscapes Crochet Picture Set, but it’s just as at…
This crochet squirrel appliqué pattern (free) captures one of my favourite autumn sights, squirrels scurrying about digging up nuts in the garden. I’ve made mine in rust red, a nod to the red squirrels we used to have here in the UK before the greys took over, but any colour works just as well. This…

Acorns and oak leaves might be my favourite thing about autumn, and this free crochet oak leaf pattern captures exactly why, whether you’re scattering them on a table, stringing them on a garland, or adding them to a picture. This crochet oak leaf is one of the appliqué motifs in my Autumn Landscapes Crochet Picture…
A corn on the cob dripping in butter is such a comfort food as the days turn towards autumn, especially when it’s hand-picked. We picked some up on a trip to our local pumpkin patch, which is exactly why this crochet corn on the cob pattern felt like the natural motif to sit alongside the pumpkins and…

These free fall crochet patterns are designed to be rearranged however you like, so no two finished…
