I don’t know about you, but at this time of year, it’s all about the pumpkins! Pumpkin crochet, pumpkin soup, pumpkin concrete, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin carving, pumpkin everything. Well not quite everything, I’ve never had a pumpkin pie. You guys across the pond seem to have them a lot, are they good?

A few years ago decorating at this time of year for us involved simply carving a silly face in a pumpkin and popping it on the doorstep. Now however, I’m getting more and more into making Halloween and autumnal decorations. I’ d love to do an autumn door like @staceysolomon but it just wouldn’t fit with our house and street.

I have, however, been making more pumpkins out of Jesmonite. Jesmonite is my new favourite material to work with. It’s a lot easier to use, colour, and pour than concrete and feels a lot smoother too. The colours I have produced are truly beautiful. Check out my orange marbled pumpkin…

I haven’t strayed completely from the concrete though, and you can still buy a beautifully rustic grey concrete pumpkin, or maybe you’d like 12 like this customer did.
